About me
My name is Camilla Stendell. I am a nurse with a special degree as a health visitor nurse .
Ever since I started my nursing degree, I knew I wanted to work with children. Once I finished my degree from nursing school in 2001 I got my first job at Rigshospitalet, the University Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the NICO and PICO ward. Helping families create a family life after a tough start was amazing.
I have also worked at more common pediatric wards both in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. I enjoyed working close together with children and parents and I decided to become a health visitor nurse helping families getting the best start in their own home. I was luckily accepted at the University to do my special degree.
Apart from my education Iām also a mom of 2 boys living in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. Married to my Costarican husband. We have been living both in Costa Rica and in Denmark, but we have eventually decided to settle down in Costa Rica. We have two rescue dogs whom are also very much a part of our family. We love the ocean and all of us surf on a regular basis. We have bought an old van and will change it into a camper, so we can drive around Costa Rica and discover new places in this beautiful country of ours.
